Carey Andrzejewski is a Professor at Auburn University in the Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership, and Technology within the College of Education. She holds the Emily R. and Gerald S. Leischuck Endowed Professorship for Educational Leadership and serves as a Consultant for the Office of Research Compliance.

Her research focuses on social justice in education, critical consciousness development, and reform of school discipline practices, often using youth participatory action research (YPAR) and qualitative methods. She examines how educators can foster equitable, humanizing practices through community-university collaborations and curriculum design.
Recent publications analyze critical consciousness in food security research, white fear in school discipline, and methodological critiques of mixed methods. Her outreach includes collaborations with O Grows and the Alabama Youth Justice Coalition.
