Candace Keach serves as an Instructor of Flute in the Music department at Spelman College, where she has been faculty since 1998. She concurrently holds a flute professor position at the University of West Georgia.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Music from the University of Georgia and postgraduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
As a professional flutist, Keach has maintained principal flute positions with the Macon Symphony for over 20 years and performed as a soloist internationally at festivals in Italy, Switzerland, and France. Her orchestral repertoire spans engagements with the Atlanta Symphony, Birmingham Symphony, and Greenville Symphony, including principal flute for the National Touring Company's "Phantom of the Opera" at the Fox Theatre. She has also produced two commercially successful meditation music albums: "As Above So Below" and "Traveling Waves" with pianist Gordon Porth, which bridge mainstream music and healing arts communities.
