Dr. Caleb Wharton serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Exercise and Sports Science at Cumberland University's Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. He holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Trevecca Nazarene University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) from Tennessee State University. His clinical practice focuses on diverse patient populations, including acute care, pediatrics, sports rehabilitation, general orthopedics, and neurological rehabilitation. He is a licensed Physical Therapist in Tennessee and an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Wharton’s research and professional interests integrate exercise science with clinical practice, emphasizing mobility restoration and functional improvement through evidence-based interventions. He has participated in international service initiatives to support community health and is committed to advancing his expertise through board specialty certifications. Beyond academia, he contributes to patient care in Mount Juliet and Lebanon, Tennessee, while balancing family life and hobbies like golf and the English Premier League.
