William Santi is an Adjunct Professor of Exercise and Sport Science at Cumberland University, affiliated with the Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. He holds an M.S. in Sport and Exercise Science from Cumberland University and a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Rhode Island. His professional career includes roles as Director of Sports Performance at Providence Christian Academy and Wil Power Sports Training, where he specialized in athlete development, strength training, and NFL Combine preparation. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach with multiple professional certifications.
His research and practical focus centers on optimizing athletic performance through strength and conditioning programs, rehabilitation strategies, and sport-specific training methodologies. Notably, 88 of his NFL Combine trainees were drafted, with all selected no later than the 6th round. Santi’s career includes professional football stints in the NFL, Arena Football League, and NFL Europe, as well as competitive powerlifting with USA Powerlifting.
