Caitlin Berrigan is an artist and educator affiliated with New York University (NYU) Tisch School of Arts and NYU Tandon School of Engineering. She holds a Master’s in visual art from MIT and a BA from Hampshire College, and is currently a PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
Her practice explores environmental transformation, interspecies communication, and speculative narratives through performance, video, sculpture, and text. She reimagines technoscientific tools through queer and decolonial paradigms, emphasizing embodied knowledge in addressing climate crisis.
Her work has been commissioned by major institutions like the Whitney Museum of American Art and Harvard Carpenter Center. Key exhibitions include Imaginary Explosions at Art in General and the Forum Expanded exhibition at Berlinale. She has received grants and fellowships from:
