معرفی
Prof. dr. Cor Calkhoven is a Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen (UMCG), affiliated with the Molecular Oncology and Protein Homeostasis departments. His research focuses on gene regulation mechanisms, particularly translational control of mRNA, and its role in ageing, cancer, and metabolic diseases. He holds a PhD from the University of Groningen and has held postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Delbrück Center (Berlin) and the Leibniz Institute (Jena). His lab investigates the mTORC1 signaling pathway and its impact on healthspan and lifespan. Key research areas include C/EBPβ isoform regulation, metabolic reprogramming in cancer, and age-related disease mechanisms.
