C. Timothy Crook is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Instructional Leadership at Asbury University's School of Education. He holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Spalding University, an M.A. in Elementary Education from Georgetown College, and a B.A. from Asbury University. With 14 years at Asbury, he teaches across traditional undergraduate, online elementary education, and graduate programs.
His professional interests focus on nurturing school climates, elementary curriculum (math/science/social studies), and Kentucky's School-Based Decision Making Councils. He has conducted statewide trainings through the Kentucky Association for School Councils. Prior to academia, Crook served 16 years as an elementary principal, retiring from public education in 2002 before transitioning to higher education.
He maintains active involvement in his community as a worship leader and musician, and balances interests in travel and landscaping. His family includes wife Kathy, children Stephen and Elizabeth, and grandchildren.
