Cheryll Crowe-Johnson

Dr. Cheryll Crowe-Johnson is a Professor of Mathematics and Dean of the Shaw School of Sciences at Asbury University. She also serves as Department Chair for Mathematics & Computer Science. Her academic journey includes a B.A. from Asbury College (2003), an M.A.Ed from Georgetown College, and a Ph.D. in Education Sciences (Mathematics) from the University of Kentucky (2008).

Her research focuses on mathematics identity, exploring how teachers’ perceptions and experiences shape their pedagogy and professional identity. She leads a national research group studying K-12 teacher identity and teaches math content courses for future elementary educators.

Dr. Johnson holds leadership roles including:
