Keith Nikolaus is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education at Lipscomb University, where he teaches in undergraduate, masters, Ed.S., and doctoral programs. He holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from David Lipscomb College (1975), an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University (1977), and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (1985). His career spans K-12 roles including 6th grade teacher, Curriculum Director, and Vice President/Director of Lipscomb's Campus School. He previously served as Assistant/Associate Professor at David Lipscomb University (1982-1988) before returning to Lipscomb University in 2008 as a full Professor.
Research interests focus on curriculum development, educational administration, and international mission-based education through his work with Project Italy. He has held leadership roles in Christian schools and denominational organizations, including Board Member of the National Christian Schools Association. Active in ministry, he served as pulpit minister at two Churches of Christ for a combined 13 years. Personal interests include technology experimentation, gardening, outdoor activities, and family life with his wife Sharon, two adult children, and six grandchildren.
