Thompson specializes in choral conducting and music education with expertise in enhancing personal musicianship, dynamic singing, tonal color expansion, and vocal energy across all age groups. His pedagogical focus includes innovative approaches to sightreading, conducting techniques, vowel formation, and phonetics, creating engaging learning environments for diverse ensembles.
Under his direction, choirs have performed at globally significant venues including St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, and the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington D.C., while collaborating with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Grammy-winning artist Eric Church.
