Brian G. Osborne

Dr. Brian G. Osborne serves as Professor of Practice in Lehigh University's Educational Leadership Program, joining the faculty in May 2019 after distinguished service as Superintendent of New Rochelle City School District (2014-2018) and South Orange-Maplewood School District in New Jersey.

His academic credentials include an Ed.D. from Harvard Graduate School of Education, M.A.T. from New York University, and B.A. from Colgate University.

Research expertise spans Urban Education, School and Organizational Leadership, and State and Federal Education Policy, with applied focus on narrowing achievement gaps in diverse districts through strategic resource allocation and leadership development. His work integrates practical experience from directing systems serving over 11,000 students and implementing technology initiatives across 1,500+ classrooms.

Fluent in Spanish, he pioneered bilingual education in New York City's Washington Heights and co-founded the New School for Arts and Sciences in the Bronx, maintaining deep engagement with community-school partnerships throughout his career.
