Brandy Mackintosh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. She joined the faculty in 2006 and achieved tenure in 2017. Her professional background includes audit management at an international accounting firm before academia.
Teaching focuses on financial accounting, auditing, and corporate financial reporting. Key courses include COMM 201 (Introduction to Financial Accounting), COMM 321/323 (Corporate Financial Reporting I/II), COMM 433 (Accounting for Equity Interests), and COMM 421 (External Auditing). She also leads executive education programs for non-financial managers.
Research emphasizes accounting education, textbook development, and case study methodology. Co-authored Fundamentals of Financial Accounting (McGraw-Hill/Ryerson) and published peer-reviewed cases in Issues in Accounting Education and Accounting Perspectives.
