She teaches across BA and MA Education Studies programs and holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2019-2024), MSc from the University of Glasgow (2017-2018), and BSc from Newcastle University (2014-2017).
Her research critically examines the internationalization of Chinese higher education, focusing on epistemological exchanges between Chinese and Western universities through educational partnerships. Key themes include symbolic knowledge construction, power dynamics, and priorities in transnational education contexts.
Publications highlight decolonial research praxis, internationalisation ideologies, academic expectations in joint universities, and comparative pedagogical approaches between UK and China. These works contribute to understanding cross-cultural educational challenges and global knowledge hierarchies.
Awarded Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) in 2024, her work interrogates how international collaborations reshape academic landscapes while addressing inequities in global education systems.
