Dr. Bill Van Heyst is a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Windsor. His academic background includes a B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo (1990, 1992, 1997). As a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, he contributes to environmental and mechanical engineering research.
- Research Interests: Air quality in agriculture, odor mitigation from cannabis facilities, clean air technologies, and solid-state heating/cooling systems.
His recent publications focus on agricultural emissions monitoring, thermoelectric cooling applications, and air pollution remediation. Notably, he collaborates with the Canadian Society for BioEngineering (CSBE) and the American Society of Biological and Agricultural Engineers (ASABE).
