Dr. Bethan Benwell is a Senior Lecturer in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Stirling, within the Division of Literature and Languages. Her research focuses on discourse analysis, particularly in healthcare communication and identity negotiation. She has co-authored influential works like *Discourse and Identity* (shortlisted for the BAAL Book Prize) and led projects such as the AHRC-funded 'Devolving Diasporas' study on migration and literature reception. Current work includes an NIHR-funded study on complaint handling in healthcare. Her expertise spans health communication, reception studies, gender discourse, and educational linguistics.
