Associate Professor Beth Penrose is affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Research Institute for Environment and Livelihoods. She holds an adjunct senior researcher position at the University of Tasmania. Her research focuses on the sustainability of pastoral systems in northern Australia, with an emphasis on linking soil, plant, animal nutrition, and human health. She employs interdisciplinary approaches to address grazing management, rangeland health, virtual fencing, and fodder production.
Education: PhD in Environmental Science (University of Nottingham, 2016); Bachelor of Environmental Science (University of the West of England, 2012).
Research Interests: Land condition analysis, sustainable livestock systems, biofortification strategies, and environmental impacts of agricultural practices. Recent projects include investigations into iodine concentrations in Australian wheat, ecological effects of offshore infrastructure, and methane reduction in feed systems.
