Professor Natasha Stacey is an environmental anthropologist and leader of the Communities and Livelihoods Research Group at Charles Darwin University’s Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods (RIEL). She specializes in natural resource management, focusing on Indigenous and coastal communities in Northern Australia, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste. Her work integrates applied anthropology, policy evaluation, and participatory research to enhance sustainable livelihoods while ensuring ecological stewardship.

- Education: PhD in Anthropology (2000, Northern Territory University); Graduate Diploma in Museum Curatorship (1992, James Cook University)
- Research Focus: Small-scale fisheries governance, Indigenous ecological knowledge, gender and food security, and transboundary resource management

- Indigenous seafood enterprises in NT
- Gendered participation in Timor-Leste fisheries
- Mangrove nutrient contributions in Indonesia
