Gianna Bonis-Profumo is an Adjunct Research Fellow at Charles Darwin University's Research Institute for Environment and Livelihoods within the Faculty of Science and Technology. She is a PhD Candidate in social sciences with expertise in food security, nutrition, and gender dynamics in development contexts. Her work focuses on women's empowerment in agriculture, children's diets, and sustainable food systems, particularly in rural Timor-Leste. She has collaborated with institutions like Johns Hopkins University on strategic reviews of SDG2 and agricultural sector analyses.
