Beth Crutchfield

Beth Crutchfield serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Clinical Legal Instruction and Interim Director of the Domestic Violence Clinic at the University of Alabama School of Law.

Her professional focus centers on clinical legal pedagogy with specialized expertise in domestic violence law and victim advocacy. Through the Domestic Violence Clinic, she trains law students in direct client representation, courtroom procedures, and trauma-informed legal practices while providing critical services to underserved survivors of domestic abuse in Alabama communities. Her work bridges theoretical legal education with high-stakes real-world application in protective order hearings and family court proceedings.

As Interim Director of the DV Clinic, she oversees all clinical operations including case selection, student supervision, and community partnerships with shelters and legal aid organizations. Her leadership ensures the clinic remains a vital resource for both vulnerable clients and developing legal professionals within the state's justice system.
