Alicia D. Mitchell is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Education and Director of the Tax Clinic at the William H. Bowen School of Law, University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She joined the faculty in 2002, focusing on clinical legal education and representing low-income taxpayers in disputes with tax authorities. Her roles include teaching, mentoring students, and providing pro bono legal services aligned with the law school’s public service mission.

Research & Practice: Mitchell specializes in tax law, estate planning, and elder law. She currently leads the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, where students gain practical skills while advocating for underserved clients.
Advising & Teams: Mitchell oversees student attorneys in the Tax Clinic, fostering hands-on legal training. Her prior contributions include advancing domestic violence victims’ rights through legal form development.
