Elizabeth A. Campbell is a Clinical Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Human Trafficking and Immigration Clinic at the University of Michigan School of Law. She has dedicated her legal career to serving victims of abuse and exploitation since 2011, combining direct representation, public scholarship, and community engagement to reshape legal responses to human trafficking and gender-based violence.
Her research focuses on intersections between human trafficking, immigration law, and domestic violence, with a particular emphasis on forced labor and survivor-centered legal approaches. Through her leadership, the clinic secured nearly $2 million in federal funding to expand services for trafficking victims and survivors of domestic violence.
Campbell trains legal professionals, law enforcement, and social workers nationwide on trafficking identification and legal best practices. She has served on multiple Michigan state committees and advised federal legislators, contributing to systemic reforms.
