Bernadett KÖLES is an Associate Professor at SKEMA Business School (France), specializing in consumer behavior and marketing in digital contexts. She holds dual doctorates: a PhD in Marketing and Consumer Behavior from Durham University (UK) and an Ed.D. in Psychology and Education from Harvard University (USA). Her interdisciplinary background enables cross-disciplinary research focusing on digital consumer psychology, brand authenticity in virtual environments, and technology's impact on consumer behavior.
Her career includes leadership roles such as Associate Dean for Teaching & Learning at Rennes School of Business and Academic Director of international programs across multiple institutions. She is affiliated with the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence and has contributed to pedagogical innovation in business education globally. Her research explores metaverse marketing, virtual influencers, omnichannel retailing, and consumer decision-making in digital ecosystems. She has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, including influential works on chatbots in tourism and VR's role in B2B marketing.
Her academic service includes guest-editing special issues on virtual reality in marketing and co-authoring methodological guides for literature-based theory generation.
