Dr. Bee Oo serves as Senior Lecturer in the Construction Management and Property program within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where she joined in February 2013.
She obtained her Bachelor of Building Construction Management degree with First Class Honors and University Medal from UNSW, completed her PhD at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and holds a Diploma in Building from TAR College. Prior to academia, she worked as a quantity surveyor and estimator with construction firms in Sydney and Singapore.
Her research focuses on construction management and economics, particularly applying statistical techniques to model contractors' bidding behavior and experimental designs to examine bidding variables. Her key research interests include construction contract bidding, experimental research in construction economics, procurement strategies, quantitative methods, women in construction, and disaster management.
Dr. Oo teaches BLDG 2013 Construction Estimating, BLDG 1023 Construction Project Management Theory, BLDG 4501/4502 Thesis, BENV 7020 Research Seminar, and REST 0018 Research Project from her office in Red Centre West Wing, Room 3011.
Her publication record includes 1 book chapter, 66 journal articles, and 30 conference papers, demonstrating significant scholarly contribution to construction management literature.
