Professor Tak Wing Yiu is a faculty member at the School of Built Environment, UNSW Sydney, with expertise at the intersection of sustainability and digital construction. His work integrates methodologies from diverse disciplines to address challenges in the built environment, including health and safety, technology adoption, and information management. He holds editorial leadership roles as Assistant Specialty Editor of the ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, Associate Editor of the ASCE Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction, and Editorial Board Member of Safety Science. Additionally, he serves on the Academic Board (AB) and University Higher Degree Research Committee (UHDRC) at UNSW.

He investigates human behavioral dynamics and ethical implications of technological adoption, including privacy, security, and data-sharing risks. Collaborations span institutions in New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, the Netherlands, Singapore, the U.S., Japan, Malaysia, and the U.K.
