Samuel Yaw Frimpong is an Associate Lecturer at the UNSW School of Built Environment with 13 years of industry experience as a construction manager and quantity surveyor. He holds a Ph.D. in Built Environment from UNSW Sydney, M.Sc. in Construction Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and B.Sc. in Building Technology from the same institution.
His research focuses on construction health and safety (including mental health), robotics, AI, and IoT in construction, particularly in Global South contexts. Recent work explores mental health interventions, prefabrication benefits, and digital solutions for construction safety.

He currently supervises PhD candidates in IoT applications and environmental disclosure practices, and has mentored multiple master's students in construction management topics.
