Baquer Mazhari is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, specializing in Organic Semiconductor Devices and VLSI design.
His educational background includes a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (1993), an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park (1989), and a B.Tech.(Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur (1987).
Professor Mazhari's research focuses on Organic Electronics, with specific interests in:
- Organic Semiconductor Devices (Organic light emitting diodes, thin film transistors, and Solar Cells)
- CMOS Analog Circuit Design
- Digital VLSI Design
His recent publications (2013) demonstrate a strong focus on the electrical characterization and modeling of organic electronic devices, particularly organic diodes and thin film transistors. His work explores fundamental device physics, measurement techniques for key parameters like threshold voltage and built-in voltage, and the charge transport mechanisms in novel organic semiconductor structures.
Professor Mazhari maintains an active research program in the field of organic electronics, contributing to the advancement of this emerging technology area through both theoretical and experimental investigations.
