Atul Kulkarni is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the School of Business, Southern Connecticut State University, where he has been a faculty member since Fall 2020. Previously, he taught at the University of Missouri and earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration, MBA in Marketing, and M.S. in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His work also delves into sustainable marketing, examining how sustainability perceptions influence consumer judgments. Additionally, he investigates digital marketing analytics, including social media and mobile marketing effectiveness, and the psychological mechanisms behind advertising persuasion and promotional framing.

Across his publications, a consistent theme is the psychological underpinnings of consumer behavior in retail and promotional contexts. His studies often employ experimental designs to test how subtle changes in framing, timing, or context can significantly alter consumer responses.
