Ashokkumar Manoharan

Dr. Ashokkumar (Ashok) Manoharan is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at Flinders University's College of Business, Government and Law, and a Full Member of the Centre for Social Impact. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of South Australia. His research focuses on workforce diversity, migrant workers, disability inclusion, and organizational culture in hospitality contexts. He has co-edited the Routledge Handbook of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Management in the Hospitality Industry and secured significant grants totaling over $600,000, including projects funded by the Department of Social Services and the Council of Australian-Arab Relations.

Dr. Manoharan's academic awards include the 2023 Certificate of Excellence in Supervision and the 2020 BGL College Research Excellence Award. He has supervised multiple HDR students exploring topics such as disability employment, workplace leader arrogance, and social enterprise models. His teaching includes courses on emerging business models and entrepreneurship.

Key professional roles include serving as University Convener of the Academic Integrity Community of Practice and contributing to Flinders' research leadership as ERA Discipline Leader (FoR 35 Commerce). His industry experience includes hospitality consultancy and call center training. He has published widely in journals like International Journal of Hospitality Management and collaborated internationally with researchers across 12 countries.
