Dr. Jung Yoon is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) within the College of Business, Government, and Law at Flinders University. She also holds a position as a Full Member at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Caring Futures Institute. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications to promote socio-economic inclusion for people with cognitive disabilities.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Business Management from Flinders University (2024), Graduate Diploma in Research Methods (2019), and multiple degrees in Visual Arts and Education from the University of South Australia. Dr. Yoon's research focuses on creating inclusive working environments for people with cognitive disabilities, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disabilities. She combines her academic expertise with lived experience as a mother of a child with complex disabilities to develop innovative approaches to disability employment and social inclusion. Her work spans organizational culture, social enterprise management, digital accessibility, and cross-cultural disability policy analysis between Australia and South Korea.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong trajectory in disability studies, with particular emphasis on inclusive research methodologies, policy representation of everyday harm experienced by people with disabilities, and professionalization in disability arts. These works collectively contribute to understanding how to create more accessible and inclusive environments across multiple sectors including hospitality, fashion retail, and digital spaces.

As Project Lead for the Diversity Pathways initiative and the Inclusive and Accessible Digital Literacy Skills project, she has developed novel methodological approaches including community researcher programs for people with cognitive disability. Her work connects academic research with practical implementation through 3-way co-design processes involving people with disabilities, industry stakeholders, and disability employment experts.
Dr. Yoon also serves on the Access and Inclusion Advisory Panel for the City of Adelaide (2022-present) and as an OZ ASIA FESTIVAL AMBASSADOR (2024-present), demonstrating her commitment to translating research into community impact.
