Ashish Dhar Diwan

Dr. Ashish Dhar Diwan is a Clinical Academic Senior Lecturer at the St George & Sutherland Clinical School, affiliated with UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on tissue repair and regeneration, particularly addressing intervertebral disc degeneration, spinal biomechanics, and the development of medical devices. He holds a PhD and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australasian Orthopaedic Research Society (FAOrthA).

Research Interests: Dr. Diwan’s work emphasizes understanding the molecular and mechanical basis of disc degeneration, regeneration strategies, and clinical applications of Bone Morphogenic Proteins (BMPs).
