Dr. Armando Maria Corsi is an Associate Professor in Wine Business at the University of Adelaide's Adelaide Business School, part of the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. His research focuses on consumer behavior in wine and premium foods, with emphasis on cross-cultural marketing, non-price promotions, and market dynamics in Asia. He leads major projects funded by Wine Australia, including studies on the Chinese wine market, Asian consumer education, and perceptions of Australian wines in the US/UK. Dr. Corsi has authored over 70 papers and serves on editorial boards of journals like Food Quality and Preference and Wine and Viticulture Journal.
His research highlights include analyzing consumer preferences for emerging grape varieties, low/no-alcohol wines, and the impact of climate change on winemaking. He teaches courses such as Direct Wine Marketing (Wine 7005) and Wine Branding (Wine 7009). Current supervision spans topics like NOLO wine adoption, gene-edited grape varieties, and sustainable packaging choices.
