Antoine Rousseau

Antoine Rousseau is a Research Professor (CNRS Professorship) and former Director (2008-2012) of the Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (LPP) at École Polytechnique. He holds a PhD from Paris-Sud University (1994) and completed his Habilitation in 2002. His research focuses on plasma applications in environmental treatment (air pollution via plasma-catalyst coupling), dermatology, and agriculture, with expertise in microwave plasma physics, plasma in liquids, and optical diagnostics. He has led projects on plasma chemistry and streamer physics, and his work integrates interdisciplinary approaches to plasma technology. His professional roles include leadership in academic research and contributions to space plasma studies through the LPP's collaborations.
