Anthony Palermo is an Assistant Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law, teaching Contracts, Sales and Leases, Commercial Transactions, and the upper-level seminar Law and Justice. He holds a B.A. in Political Science with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
His research and practice focus on business and commercial law, cybersecurity, privacy, and legal ethics. He has authored articles for legal publications such as the Florida Law Review, Florida Law Review Forum, and Florida Bar Journal, which have been cited by state and federal courts.
Recognitions include selection in The Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation, Florida Super Lawyer, Florida Legal Elite, Tampa Magazine's Top Lawyer, and Law360's Rising Star. He also served as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard College and was awarded the Harvard University Certificate of Distinction in Teaching.
Prior to joining Stetson, Professor Palermo was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP, where he litigated in state and federal courts, defended against class actions, and represented professional sports teams. He was appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General in Michigan to advise on compliance with consumer protection laws.
