John Conway is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Notre Dame Law School, where he teaches trial skills including Intensive Trial Advocacy and Deposition Skills. He maintains an active legal practice, representing plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, personal injury cases, and federal criminal matters. Recognized for his professional excellence, Conway holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly.
Conway earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. During law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the SMU Law Review Association's Journal of Air and Commerce and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Post-graduation, he clerked for Judge A. Joe Fish of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to law, he worked as a mechanical engineer in Chicago.
His practice spans over two decades, including roles at Dallas firms Sayles Werbner, PC and Jones Day (1994–2008). While primarily focused on litigation, his expertise extends to construction law, fraud cases, and medical device litigation.
