معرفی
Anthony Capobianco, Ph.D., is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami, directing the Molecular Oncology Research Program within the Division of Surgical Oncology.
Research Focus:
Investigates molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis, with groundbreaking work on Notch signaling in cancer. Key contributions include: establishing Notch's role in cell cycle regulation, creating the first Notch-induced mouse tumor model, and identifying Ikaros as a Notch pathway tumor suppressor.
Current research aims to develop small molecule inhibitors of Notch signaling and characterize distinct cancer stem cell populations driven by Notch and Wnt pathways.
Publications Trends:
2019-2023 articles focus on Notch/Wnt interactions in tumor growth, drug discovery targeting signaling complexes, and mechanisms of resistance in esophageal and brain cancers.
