Anne Maria Holli is Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political and Economic Studies, University of Helsinki. She serves as Supervisor for Doctoral Programmes in Gender, Culture, and Society and Political, Societal and Regional Change, while holding a Docent position in Gender Studies at the University of Tampere.
- Education: M.Pol.Sc. (1988), Licentiate (1992), PhD (2003) from University of Helsinki
Her research focuses on:
- Gender equality policies and discourses
- Dynamics of democracy and political institutions
- Accessibility of policy-making processes
- Gender representation in Finnish politics
Recent publications analyze the role of researchers in policy preparation, municipal gender quotas, and Nordic policy frameworks. Her work spans peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and public commentary.
