Anne Lowery serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition at Lipscomb University, where she directs the dietetic internship program with specialized tracks in medical nutrition therapy, health promotion and wellness, and sports nutrition.
Her academic credentials include:
- Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Lipscomb University (1991)
- Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science with hotel and restaurant management emphasis from Auburn University (2008)
Dr. Lowery's expertise spans clinical and community nutrition applications, with professional experience as food service director for The Health Center at Richland Place, consultant dietitian at Providence Place of Mount Juliet, and field specialist at EcoSure. Her work integrates evidence-based practices across medical, sports, and wellness nutrition domains.
She has earned dual recognition as Nashville District Dietetic Association’s Outstanding Dietetic Educator of the Year for 2012-2013 and 2017-2018.
As internship director since 2010, she has shaped curriculum development and student training in dietetics, while maintaining active licensure as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Tennessee.
