Anne Jefferson is a Professor and the Robert F. and Genevieve B. Patrick Endowed Chair in Watershed Science and Planning at the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, University of Vermont. She also serves as Director of the Vermont Water Resources and Lake Studies Center, Lake Champlain Sea Grant, and the Northeastern States Research Cooperative. Her research focuses on urban watershed hydrology, geomorphology, and public engagement in environmental decision-making.

Her work integrates field studies, numerical modeling, and lab analyses to address challenges in urban hydrology and environmental governance.
