Anne Danehy is the Senior Associate Dean and Associate Professor of the Practice at Boston University. With over three decades of experience, she specializes in communication research across healthcare, tech startups, education, and Fortune 500 companies. She previously founded Strategic Opinion Research, Inc., and held leadership roles in polling and public relations agencies.
Education: BA from Smith College and MA from the University of Connecticut.
Her research focuses on understanding audience attitudes, perceptions, and motivations to develop effective marketing, public relations, and advertising campaigns. She has contributed to public health initiatives like drug prevention and distracted driving campaigns, and collaborates closely with advertising creatives to evaluate strategic communication efforts.
In her role as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, she integrates her expertise in business, research, and education to support BU’s academic programs and student success.
