Her research centers on performance and poetics in the Greek Mediterranean, with a focus on reperformance traditions, gender dynamics in theatrical spaces, and material culture’s role in ancient drama. She has explored topics such as satyr drama’s transvestism, Pindaric and Aeschylean poetic continuity, and sensory experiences in fragmentary plays.
Anna’s publications include a monograph on theatrical reenactment (Cambridge University Press, 2019), co-edited volumes on Aeschylus and reperformance studies, and numerous chapters in edited collections. Her work intersects classical literature, performance theory, and interdisciplinary approaches to gender and materiality in antiquity.
