Anna Post is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Food and Nutrition and Sport Science, University of Gothenburg. She holds a PhD in Human Ecology and conducts research focused on sustainable food systems, meal development, and consumer behavior. Her work examines both private and public meal contexts, with emphasis on digital grocery accessibility for elderly populations and sustainability-climate intersections.
Research Interests: Sustainable food consumption practices, meal sociology, online grocery systems, longitudinal methodology, and theory of practice applications in food ecology. Primary domains include climate-health-equality intersections in meals, elderly consumer adaptation to digital markets, and behavioral shifts during crises like COVID-19.
Research Projects:
- Innovative solution strategies for grocery shopping (Centre for Retailing, 2015-2017)
- The Paths to Rio Study: Athlete health ecology (2015-2019)
- The new Food scape: Older consumers’ digital food market entry (Handelsrådet, 2018-2020)
- New solutions for meal development: Integrating climate, health and equality perspectives (ongoing)
Publication Trends: Her 15 most recent articles (2020-2024) predominantly analyze sustainable consumption behaviors across vulnerable groups (elderly, youth, athletes), pandemic-era food system adaptations, and contradictions in health-sustainability narratives. Methodologically, they emphasize qualitative approaches and practice theory frameworks.
Affiliations & Collaboration: Collaborates extensively with the Centre for Consumer Research and international teams in the Baltic region. Research addresses UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly zero hunger, health equity, and climate action through food system transformations.
