Anna Peeters is Professor of Epidemiology and Equity in Public Health and Director of the Institute Health Transformation at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. She is a leading public health researcher with expertise in obesity prevention, nutrition policy, and health equity. Her work focuses on facilitating objective and equitable choices in public health through evidence-based policy and practice.
Dr. Peeters completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in 1997 and has been a Professor at Deakin University since 2015. Her research interests span public health, epidemiology, obesity research, health equity, and nutrition policy. She has made significant contributions to understanding the global obesity epidemic, food policy interventions, and strategies for promoting healthier food environments.
