Dr. Emalie Rosewarne is a Research Fellow and Accredited Practising Dietitian at the Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney. She specializes in early childhood obesity prevention, research translation, and implementation science, particularly through the Centre for Research Excellence in Translating Early Prevention of Obesity in Childhood (EPOCH-Translate). Her PhD (2023, UNSW) focused on nutrition policies and advocacy strategies to improve food environments. She holds degrees from the University of Sydney, including a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science.
Her research interests include childhood obesity prevention, implementation science, primary health care, and nutrition policy. Current projects involve evaluating salt reduction initiatives and advocating for healthier food environments globally. She has received the Joan Woodhill Prize (2024) and Dean’s Award (2024) for her doctoral work.
Recent work includes analyzing sodium levels in packaged foods, evaluating policy impacts, and assessing plant-based meat alternatives. Her contributions span academic publications, policy engagement, and community-driven health interventions.
