Anna Hellertz is a Lecturer at Örebro University, affiliated with the School of Behavioural, Social and Legal Sciences and the Department of Behavioral, Social and Legal Sciences. She holds a bachelor's degree in Criminology, a master's in Psychology with a focus on criminology, and a master's in English. Since Autumn 2024, she has been designated as a Distinguished University Teacher.
Her teaching focuses on partnership in crime preventive and safety promotive interventions, and integrated theory and research on the causes of crime. She is course director for:
- Crime Prevention and Safety Promotion Interventions in Society
- Work Placement for Criminology Students
- Criminology II and III
Research interests include criminological theory, crime prevention strategies, and developmental aspects of criminal behavior. Her work analyzes risk factors in school violence and community safety, leveraging longitudinal research methods.
Recent publications explore early childhood behavioral predictors of conduct problems and school safety dynamics. She is part of the CAPS research center, focusing on criminological and psychosocial research.
