Anna Clayfield is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish and Latin American Studies and Programme Leader for the BA Modern Languages at the University of Chester since December 2015. She holds a PhD in Latin American Studies from the University of Nottingham (2013) and previously taught at Cardiff University and the University of Nottingham.
Research Interests:
- Cuban history post-1959, focusing on guerrilla warfare's legacy in political discourse
- Cold War revolutions in Latin America and Quebec
- Memory studies of Cuba's 1960s volunteer militia programs
Teaching:
- Undergraduate/postgraduate modules using film, literature, and visual art to explore Iberian and Latin American societies
- Spanish-English translation and language/grammar instruction (Levels 4-5)
