Jennifer L Lambe is an Associate Professor of History at Brown University specializing in Latin American and Caribbean history, particularly focusing on Cuba. She holds a PhD from Yale University and an AB from Brown University. Her research examines intersections between political history, intellectual history, and popular culture, especially regarding the Cuban Revolution and its domestic/international perceptions.
Her key works include *The Subject of Revolution* (forthcoming) analyzing Revolution's cultural impact, and *Madhouse: Psychiatry and Politics in Cuban History* (2017) studying Cuba's psychiatric history through the Mazorra Asylum. She co-edited *The Revolution from Within: Cuba, 1959-1980* (2019).
Her research has been supported by ACLS, Mellon Foundation, and Cuban Heritage Collection. Notable awards include the Journal of Latin American Studies Best Article Prize (2017) and Henry Merritt Wriston Fellowship (2017-18). Her teaching includes courses on Cuban history, global psychiatry, and popular culture in Latin America.
