Sara Kozameh is a Professor of History at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), affiliated with the Division of Arts and Humanities. Her research focuses on the Cuban Revolution, agrarian history, and Black radicalism. She holds a Ph.D. in Latin American and Caribbean History from New York University (2020).

Her current book project, Harvest of Revolution: Agrarian Reform and the Making of Revolutionary Cuba, examines the role of ordinary people in shaping Cuba’s 1959 revolution. She has held postdoctoral fellowships at Princeton University’s Shelby Cullom Davis Center (2020–2022) and Vanderbilt University’s ACLS Emerging Voices program (2022–2023).
Research Interests: Kozameh’s work centers on social movements, revolutionary agrarian policies, and intersections of race and class in Latin America. Her writing spans academic journals like Souls and The Americas, as well as popular outlets like Jacobin and NACLA.

- Honorable Mention for the Tibesar Prize (2022, Conference on Latin American History).
Grants & Affiliations: Supported by the American Council of Learned Societies, the Mellon Foundation, and the Cuban Heritage Collection. She serves as Assistant Editor for Historias Agrarias de América Latina.
