Dr. Anja Schüppert is an Associate Professor in Linguistics at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts, affiliated with the European Languages and Society department. She specializes in Psycholinguistics, Sociolinguistics, and Scandinavian languages, with a focus on mutual intelligibility, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), and linguistic variation. Her research explores language contact phenomena, including loanword usage in Finland-Swedish, neurocognitive processing of stereotypes, and multilingual practices in psychotherapy.
