Dr. Angela Maria Victoria-Castro is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She holds an MD from Universidad Icesi, Colombia, and an MSc in Epidemiology from Universidad Libre. Her research focuses on metabolic chronic diseases, patient education, and digital health technology applications in heart failure and kidney disease management.
As part of Dr. Francis Perry Wilson’s lab, she coordinates the NIDDK/NIH-funded KPMP and COPE-AKI studies. Her work emphasizes improving clinical decision-making through digital tools, such as electronic alerts for heart failure patients and usability studies for pandemic response platforms.
