Angel Estrella is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Visual Arts department at the University of North Georgia (UNG). She holds a B.S. in Art Education from UNG (2015) and an M.F.A. in Ceramics from Clemson University (2019). Her expertise includes ceramics, three-dimensional design, and sculpture, with a focus on clay processes, figurative sculpture, mold-making, and firing techniques.
Her research explores sculptural forms and firing processes, addressing themes like human vulnerability, materiality of the body, and the temporal nature of sculptural surfaces. She owns Studio 1019 in Buford, GA, where she teaches ceramics and figurative sculpture. Awards include the Art Department Performance Fellowship Award and Department Scholarship during her graduate studies at Clemson. She has exhibited works in venues such as the Lee Gallery (Clemson University) and the Lexington Art League Gallery.
At UNG, she teaches courses like Art Appreciation, Three-Dimensional Design, and Ceramics I/II, emphasizing student growth and critical awareness. Her pedagogical approach prioritizes fostering creativity and professional readiness in students.
